This site aims to be usable by everyone.
We design and build this site to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA — the standard most U.S. courts use as the benchmark for the Americans with Disabilities Act. Accessibility is a moving target, so we treat it as ongoing work rather than a one-time audit.
Our commitment
Care should reach the people who need it — that includes people who use screen readers, navigate with a keyboard, need larger text, have low vision, or cannot rely on sound or color. We aim to remove barriers that get in the way of finding information about treatment, taking the self-assessment, or starting the intake.
Standard we conform to
We target the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, published by the W3C. This is the technical standard most enforcement actions reference under Title III of the ADA and Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act.
What we've done
- Semantic HTML and proper landmark regions (header, nav, main, footer)
- Skip-to-main-content link for keyboard users
- Visible focus indicators on every interactive element
- Color contrast meeting or exceeding the 4.5:1 ratio for body text
- Form fields with proper labels, autocomplete hints, and error announcements
- Mobile-friendly layout that responds to text-resize up to 200%
- Honoring the user's
prefers-reduced-motionsetting - Screen-reader announcements for dynamic content (the self-assessment, intake form status)
- Keyboard support: hamburger menu opens, traps focus, closes on Esc
Honest limits
No website can guarantee 100% accessibility at every moment. Browsers update, content is added, and accessibility standards themselves evolve. Where we know we fall short of WCAG 2.1 AA, we're working on it; if you find something that blocks you, please tell us so we can fix it — your report is the fastest path to a fix.
Alternative formats
If you need information from this site in a different format — larger print, plain text, audio, or assistance over the phone — please call us at (667) 450-8933 and we will help.
Report an issue
If something on this site is hard or impossible to use because of an accessibility barrier, please let us know. Include the page, the device or screen reader you were using, and what didn't work. We aim to acknowledge accessibility reports within two business days and resolve fixable issues promptly.
